When he sees you at your worst moment, and he still thinks you’re pretty. He’s a keeper.

1. When people ask for your rates and they find it expensive when in fact that’s just the minimum.
—— I hate this issue. You, my client will not just be paying for mere photos that came out of nowhere. What you’re paying covers my hard work, beautifully processed photos of you, and rights to use the photo. And people still expect prices similar to 1x1 photo sessions to call it “affordable”.
2. Clients who edit the original photos by cropping, filters and what-not and still credit you.
—— Just don’t. Its offensive, and just plain wrong. The downside of it all is when they crop out your watermark and credit you. That doesn’t make it any better.
3. “Its just a ‘simple shoot’, is that cheaper?”
—— Yes. No. Maybe. I’ll get back to you soon. (Always the same scenario, but they almost never ‘get back to you’)
4. When family friends think they get discounts for being “family friends”
—— I sometimes give in, thinking “exposure” will do me good. Sometimes that promise of exposure doesn’t actually happen and I end up feeling bad for even giving in. As much as I like taking photos, I need to cover up my own expenses to you know. That’s why photographers stick to the minimum. If you want something cheaper, use your smartphone instead.
5. Watermark cropping
—— *Pushes you off a building*. Just don’t.
"Everything will get better in the morning"
I always wanted to believe in that, but sometimes life doesn’t want me to.
I should have blogged about this last week, but I’ve been too busy to finish this post, but here ya go! A blog post about my post-birthday celebration dinner. Happy to have pigged out with my boyfriend on my birthday week! :D Can you guess where we ate? :)
Progress of my first hand-made toy. I am currently painting it already, but I still haven’t finished it because I don’t have paint anymore since it dried up *cries.
Hello night owls. *Hoot hoot*
How now brown cow?
To everyone who remembered and shared this day with me, to my boyfriend who was the only one who sang a birthday song to me (in full!), to my brother for stuffing me with Korean Cuisine today, and to my mom for giving me life — Thank you so much! It truly was an awesome day! <3
